Job Summary Participates in the development and management of engaging and informing both the general public and county employees about initiatives and information that are vital to the success of Oakland County.
Independently manages multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Works in collaboration with the County Executive, Department of Public Communications, and other county departmental staff to strengthen the Oakland County brand, promoting a progressive and inclusive county with a reputation for adopting best practices in government.
Works with county administration to develop, administer and improve the county's website strategy, branding and functionality.
Works with county departments to advise and develop website content that aligns the county's brand, strategy, and standards.
Designs, creates, and publishes website content that supports the county's brand, goals and strategies.
Audits the county's websites and content to ensure compliance with the county's brand as well as laws/regulations.
Updates and removes content as needed.
Builds relationships with website content editors across all county departments, troubleshoots technical issues and makes recommendations to align branding standards.
Works as a liaison with Oakland County Information Technology to maintain the technical infrastructure of the county's websites.
Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.

Have had at least two (2) years of full-time professional work experience in digital marketing or a closely related area; OR 2.

Possess an Associate's degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.
b.
Have had at least four (4) years of full-time professional work experience in digital marketing or a closely related area.

Overview of Employee
Benefits:
