14 an hour Job Summary Creates a broad range of marketing and/or informational materials from basic concepts to support the assigned department's programs and objectives.
Utilizes various desktop publishing and graphics programs to create and produce finished artwork.
Prepares photographic images to create digital files for use in printed and/or online publications.
Prepares slideshow presentation to correspond with speeches or discussions.
Creates new art illustrations using digital drawing skills.
Maintains brand identity with close attention to font, colors, and design elements.
Coordinates graphic artwork preparation with local printers and marketing vendors to ensure proper technical job quality processes and delivery deadlines.
Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
a.
Possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in graphic arts, graphic design, commercial art, or a closely related field.
b.
Have two (2) years of full-time work experience in graphic preparation, including layout and design preparation of camera-ready artwork, desktop publishing, or a closely related area; OR NOTE:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in any of the fields described in 1 above may substitute for the experience requirement.

a.
Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
b.
Have four (4) years of full-time work experience in graphic preparation, including layout and design preparation of camera-ready artwork, desktop publishing or closely related area.
3.
Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
If a job offer is made, an official transcript with the award date will be required as part of the hiring process.
Transcripts from outside the United States must be assessed for U.
S.
equivalency by a NACES National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (http:
//naces.
org/members.
html).
Other documents such as reference, cover letter, resume, etc.
will not be reviewed.
Special Requirements Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
